There is a sloppiness to his play which inexcusable for Arsene Wenger Martin Keown Oxlade-Chamberlain started just his eighth Premier League game of the season at Dean’s Court on Sunday, making a further 13 appearances from the bench. You could see resignation when he was taken off. “At times, he looked good. He wants to play in a central role. “But there is a sloppiness to his play which inexcusable for Arsene Wenger. He has the ability but it is his understanding. “When he comes alive, he looks more than good enough to do a job for Arsene Wenger.” Keown added: “He doesn’t get enough touches. He needs to get on the ball more.” Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored one goal in 21 Premier League appearances for the north London side so far this season. The 21-year-old has made a further eight appearances in cup competitions, including the Champions League and the FA Cup.
