Swansea City reportedly scout Anderlecht striker and Italy international Stefano Okaka
Swansea City are keeping tabs on Anderlecht and Italy striker Stefano Okaka, according to reports in Belgium.Okaka played up front as his team overcame Olympiacos 1-0 in the Europa League last Thursday night, with scouts from South Wales and Crystal Palace said to be in attendance.A mobile forward who can play up front or off the left wing, Okaka has scored 12 goals and contributed four assists in 33 appearances since signing for the Juliper Pro League outfit in July of last year.Previous to that, Okaka had spent a year atSampdoria, having played for a number of Italian clubs in a nomadic career.He has a small amount of experience in English football, having played 11 times onloan for Fulham in the early part of 2010. He scored in a FA Cup fifth round tie against Notts County and a Premier League win over Wigan Athletic.Okaka played for the Italy U19, 20 and 21 outfits, but revealed in 2014 that he was in talks to represent his parent's nation, Nigeria.However, he decided to declare for Italy and was given his debut by Antonio Conte in November 2014 against Albania.He has been linked with a move to Englandin the past, with Leeds United and Southampton said to be interested.At 6ft 1inch, he is known as a powerful dribbler and a smart passer, so it would be no surprise if Swansea think he could be a good fit at the Liberty Stadium.He also has some recent success against English opponents, scoring the winner against Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham in the Europa League last October.
