Revolution announce new security
February 16, theNew England Revolutionannounced that new security measures are in effect atGillette Stadiumand that fans shouldprepare in advance. Gillette Stadium has a new clear bag policy and security officials will use metal detectors to screen fans at all stadium gate entrances for Revolution matches in 2016. The Revs host their 2016 home opener vs. old rival D.C. United on March 12.Fans arriving for Revolution matches at Gillette Stadium gates, plaza areas,and other entry areas into the stadium must have bags in compliance with the clear bag policy.Bags not in compliance won't be stored and must be returned to the fan’s vehicle.Prior to reaching the metal detectors at stadium gates, fans are asked to remove phones and cameras from their pockets to expedite the screening process. Stadium security won't ask fans to remove loose change or keys from their pockets and nor remove their shoes or belts. Fans can also continue to carry allowed items into the stadium, including binoculars, cameras, smart phones, jackets, blankets and strollers. However, battery-powered heated clothing such as jackets and socks are prohibited. Fans can continue to enjoy tailgate activities inthe parking lots.Style and size of bags allowed at GilletteBags that are clear plastic,vinyl or PVC and don't exceed 12” x 6” x 12.”One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag or similar.Small clutch bags, not to exceed 8” x 5” x 2” with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.Prohibited items at Gillette StadiumPurses larger than a small clutch bagcoolersbriefcasesbackpacksfanny packscinch bagsdiaper bagsnon-approved seat cushions (including cushions with pockets, zippers, or covers)luggage of any kindcomputer bagscamera bagsany bag larger than permissible sizeWorking personnel, including media, will continue to enter Gillette Stadiumthrough designated gates where theywill be screened and undergo bag inspections.
