Benfica striker Jonas could be set to make a return to the Brazil squad for March’s World Cup qualifiers.The 28-year-old has not appeared for the national team since winning the last of his eight caps in February 2012 but he has been in stunning form for the the Portuguese champions, netting 24 goals in just 23 league games.CBF technical coordinator Gilmar Rinaldi confirmed coach Dunga was has been casting a keen eye over thestriker as he continues the search forhis first choice centre-forward.“Like all good Brazilian players, Jonasis also being watched by the CBF andour coach,” Rinaldi toldA Bola.“Do not ask me to evaluate the playeror if he will be called up for the matches against Uruguay and Paraguay. You will have to wait until the squad is announced.”Dunga has selected a number of different players for the role of the team’s central striker since his July 2014 appointment, but is yet to find his ideal No. 9.Brazil host Uruguay at the Arena Pernambuco in Recife on March 24 before meeting Paraguay in Asuncion on March 30.
