Luis Suárez leads the Golden Boot race
Luis Suárez is proving why Barcelona waited for him to be available last year, as the Uruguayan striker has established himself as the deadliest scorer in La Liga in less than two seasons with Los Blaugranas. The South American striker was key to Barcelona's win against Las Palmas, scoring the first goal ofthe game and setting up the second with a brilliant dribble.Suárez success has extended to Europe, as the South American became the first player in all of Europe's top five leagues to score 25 goals this season. The Golden Boot race was led by Gonzalo Higuaín up to this date, with the Argentinean having a game in hand on Monday.With his goal today, Suárez has been directly involved in 35 La Liga goals, scoring 25 and handing out ten assists. Lately, the former Liverpool striker has shown impressive form, scoring12 goals in his last seven games for Los Blaugranas. If those stats were not impressiveenough, Suárez's goal scoring tally rises up to 41 goals in all competitions.
