Jose Mourinho 'going to Manchester

Massimo Moratti also spoke to journalists after the meeting and said they had reminisced about Mourinho's final season in 2009-10, when the club won Serie A, the Coppa Italia and Champions League."It was a meeting between friends, with plenty of memories,"he said."We didn't talk about [him returning to Inter in future]. He's thinking of hisfuture while Inter are not looking for a new coach. We relived 2010 and other memories from the past. It was an idea we had a while ago [to meet up]."A year ago, we thought about having a reunion with all those who had won the Champions League in 2010, and then we arranged to meet this Saturday. Inter fans still love him."Asked if he was joining Manchester United, he replied: "I'm not sure. I don't know if he wants to say."Mourinho has claimed his next destination is uncertain, but he has been strongly linked with the United job as Louis van Gaal comes under increasing pressure following disappointing performances and results."My next club? I really don't know," Mourinho said in a statement released toLa Stampa. "One thing is certain -- I love football and I will return on the fields with the same passion and ambition as always."Right now I have respect for every coach and every club. I'm not lookingfor a club; it is the clubs who seek me."The Portuguese stressed in the statement that, while he still has huge affection for Inter, he was not seeking to replace coach Roberto Mancini at the San Siro."One thing I want to clarify, I will not be in charge next season," he said."Inter have a project and that is Erick Thohir and Roberto Mancini."Their ideas have my full support and my hope is that the project of the coach and the president continues with great success."ESPN FC's Italy correspondent, Ben Gladwell, contributed to this report.
