David Moyes troll Manchester united again
Moyes was chosen as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor at United following his retirement from the game, leaving Everton after an 11-year spell at Goodison Park. The Scotsman arrived at the club in the summer of 2013, but what followed at Old Trafford was the stuff of managerial nightmares.Moyes was sacked just 10 months into hisreign at United, as his side couldn’t replicate their success under Ferguson, who won the Premier League in the season prior. After Moyes’ sacking Ryan Giggs took charge, leading the club to finish seventh at the end of the 2013/14 campaign, with their former boss’ reputation in tatters, but now he’s opened up about his experience in the Old Traffordhot-seatThe reason I lost my job at Manchester United was that I did not win enough games,” Moyes told Goals on Sunday. “ButI think I was unfairly treated in that you don’t get the time to do the job. If it had not been for Manchester United coming in,I would never have left Everton.”As for United this season, they’re struggling once again, this time under the leadership of Louis van Gaal. The Dutchman led them back to the top four and Champions League football last term, but this year they could miss out yet again. The Red Devils have scored 33 goals and conceded 24 in their 26 league games, with a shot accuracy of 48% and an average pass accuracy of 83%.Van Gaal’s men sit fifth on 41 points, six adrift of the top four, but that gap could increase with the sides above them all playing each other this afternoon.Next up for them is the first-leg of their last-32 clash with FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday night, followed by an FA Cup tie at Shrewsbury Town next Monday.
