Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Celtic’s James Forrest

The Scotland international, whose present contract with Celtic is set to expire in the summer, was offered a new four-year deal by the Hoops last week.[adrotate banner="108"]However, Forrest knocked back the offer, which has put the two English clubs on red alert.Currently Celtic have several midfielders and wingers in their ranks and the list increased with Ronny Deila’s team snapping up Patrick Roberts on an 18-month loan deal from Manchester City during the winter transfer window, while Norwegian wonderkid Kristoffer Ajer is set to join the club after the end of the season from IK Start. And the increased competition might prompt Forrest, whose progress at the club has been hampered by injuries, toquit Celtic Park in the summer. The 24-year-old has progressed through Celtic’s youth system and hasgone on to make 187 first-team appearances for the Bhoys, scoring 30 times and providing 28 assists. He also has 13 senior caps for Scotland to his name.
