Sol Campbell warns against rushing injured England players back for Euro 2016...
Sol Campbell believes it would be 'counter-productive' forEnglandto rush the likes of Jack Wilshere and Luke Shaw back for Euro 2016.This month's friendlies with Germany and Holland are the Three Lions' last matches before Roy Hodgson has to select his squad for this summer's tournament in France.Wilshere, Shaw and Wayne Rooney are among those absent from the squad through injury, although the latter is set to return from a knee complaint in April.Former England defender Campbell believes Rooney should be taken to France even if his progress is slower than hoped, but raised concerns over players such as Wilshere and Shaw.Arsenal midfielder Wilshere has not playedthis season and United left-back Shaw hasbeen absent since sustaining a double leg break in September.'On the question of Hodgson's striking options, if you accept that Rooney is fit then you have to take him,' Campbell, a blogger for Sportlobster.
