Wayne Rooney rejects two offers from China

Rooney is currently on 244 goals, just five away from Charlton’s tally of 249, and eventhough he is currently out injured with a knee problem he will want to break it this year.TheSunday Peoplereports that Rooney has had a number of enquiries from the Chinese Super League but they have all been turned down and the only way he will leave is if he is told by the club he’s no longer wanted.However, the report goes on to say that Jose Mourinho, who has been widely tipped to take over at Old Trafford, is keen to work with Rooney and sees him as key to his plans. The Sunday People also note that Rooney remains the only genuine star name and leader on the books, and that the striker himself fully intends to honour his pledge of a substantial cash influx for children’s charities based on revenue driven by his testimonial against Everton this August.
