Steve Evans is convinced if he is givenbacking in the transfer market in the summer he will have Leeds United challenging for promotion

The Scot took charge of the Whites in October this season after club owner Massimo Cellino opted to sack Uwe Rosler as boss.[adrotate banner="108"]Evans spoke of having Leeds knockingon the door of the playoffs and was aiming for a top six push as late as last month. However, indifferent form sees Leeds sitting in just 17th in the Championship standings and even well adrift of the top ten. "I think there will be investment by the owner when we go forward into the summer and I can’t tell what the LeedsUnited supporters what to do, I am very humbled to work at Leeds United", hetold the Yorkshire Evening Post."But I’m saying, if I get supported, I willput on the pitch a squad of men that will challenge for the Premier League."If I fail that, I will drive out of Thorp Arch and I will be broken hearted and I will admit failure."But I don’t fail when I get supported. I work too hard for that", Evans added.
